1. Who we are
Citame ("we", "us", "our") is an online booking platform for salons and small businesses, operated from Ireland. We are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact us at hello@citame.ie.
2. What data we collect
We collect the following personal data:
- Account data: your name, email address, and password (hashed)
- Business data: business name, address, phone, and logo
- Client data: names, email addresses, and phone numbers of your clients
- Appointment data: booking history and notes
- Payment data: we store only a Stripe customer ID — no card details ever touch our servers
- Analytics: page visits via Google Analytics (only with your consent)
3. Why we collect it
- To provide the booking and scheduling service (contractual necessity)
- To send appointment confirmation and reminder emails (legitimate interest)
- To process subscription payments via Stripe (contractual necessity)
- To improve the product via anonymised analytics (consent)
4. Who we share it with
- Stripe — payment processing (US, EU-US Data Privacy Framework)
- Google Analytics — usage analytics (consent-gated)
- We do not sell your data to any third party, ever.
5. Your rights under GDPR
- Access: request a copy of your data at any time
- Portability: download your data as JSON from account settings
- Erasure: delete your account and all associated data from account settings
- Rectification: update your details from your profile page
- Objection: opt out of analytics via the cookie banner
To exercise any right, email hello@citame.ie or use the self-service options in your account settings. We will respond within 30 days as required by GDPR Article 12.
6. How long we keep it
- Account data: until you delete your account
- Appointment history: until you delete your account
- Payment records: 7 years (Irish tax law requirement)
- Analytics data: 14 months (Google Analytics default)
7. Cookies
We use one session cookie required for login, and Google Analytics cookies only if you accept via the cookie banner. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your cookies and revisiting the site.
